German philosopher, poet, composer, cultural critic, and classical philologist
Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche (October 15, 1844 – August 25, 1900) was a German philosopher, whose critiques of contemporary culture, religion, and philosophy centered on a basic question regarding the foundation of values and morality.
- "God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him."
- Simple: God is a belief that man does not need anymore.
- What it means: Nietzsche is not saying that God is physically dead, but that the idea of using God for morals and ethics is dead.
- "Faith: not wanting to know what is true."
