Template:BDtest
This template has many optional uses. Not all of them are needed, and the template will be fine without all them. The first option is many. This is how many dates will be used. Example, 2 = the person's birth and death years (1000 – 1050). 3a the birth date and year, and the death year (May 4, 2000 – 2001). 3b = is the birth year, and the death date and year. 4 = the birth and death date and years (May 13, 1948 – September 24, 2003). If nothing is given, the default 4 is used.

There are several optional features. These are them:
