Animal Farm
1945 novella by George Orwell
Animal Farm is a novel by George Orwell. He wrote it in 1949. It is about politics but instead of people it uses animals and a farm as the characters and setting. The animals take over a farm from the humans who own it, but they do not run it well on their own.
Quotes
- "Four legs good, two legs bad."
- Simple: Anything with four legs is good, anything with two legs is bad
- "All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others."
- What it means: This is impossible, some animals (people) cannot be more equal than others. Either they are equal or not. This is a paradox.
