RETIRED
POV pushing
Yes, that's exactly what I'm fighting, as well as general Wiki policy vios. Thanks ;) --SuaveArt (talk) 09:47, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
- Wrong. You are also POV pushing by blanking those articles. Pmlineditor ∞ 09:48, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
- Right actually. First, tell me what in the Jesus article is "POV" pushing? The "Bible" reference is historically inaccurate (the Bible wasn't compiled until years after his death, yet the article mentions Jesus referring to the Bible directly - he wasn't, he was referring to the Torah). The head section also didn't fully mention Jesus' status in the Abramaic religions - it mentioned Christianity, but not what he is considered in Islam.--SuaveArt (talk) 10:00, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
- As for those pages, that user (American Eagle) has caused trouble on Wikipedia for similar behavior (such as POV pushing and vote stacking in AFDs). Using your userpage as a platform (and including links to proselytizing sites) is not allowed according to Wikimedia policies (saying "This user is a Christian" is allowed, using your userpage to promote a religious/political belief is not allowed and is considered POV-pushing - I was here to prevent it).
- The other page (Jonathan Parks) was marked as spam on Wikipedia (it has no reliable sources and is completely non-notable). American Eagle simply copied some of the text here in order to avoid it being deleted.
I explained my concerns as best I could in my edit summaries. If you didn't see them I apologize. My first edit summary was a little snarky, because me and admins have been dealing with this user and several other spammers for some time now, and I apologize for giving you a bad impression.--SuaveArt (talk) 10:00, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
- I didn't do most of the reverts on Jesus, so whatever. About AE's userpage, even if he IS promoting what he believes, he did it in a respectable manner and I see no reason whatsoever to remove it. It's not like he is advertising Christianity/his political views; rather, he is just narrating a story. About Jonathan Parks, wouldn't a simpler option be to create a request for deletion or even a simple QD requests would have sufficed. Redirecting it to an userpage is not what is to be done in such cases. Pmlineditor ∞ 10:06, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
- @vandals and other annoying/timewasting people: Go vandalize somewhere else. Thank you, 204.108.96.24 (talk) 18:24, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
